WILLIAMSFIELD - Clairidon George Carlson, 83, of Williamsfield, died at 6:15 PM, Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 28 at Williamsfield United Methodist Church. Pastor Jennifer Seder will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, September 27 at Rux Funeral Home in Williamsfield. Burial will be in the Center Prairie Cemetery where military rites will be accorded. Memorials can be directed to the Williamsfield United Methodist Church, the Williamsfield Ambulance Service or the Alzheimer Foundation.

He was born August 27, 1930 in Center Prairie, IL, the son of George and Susie Warrensford Carlson. He married JoAnna M. Fahnstrom on December 9, 1951 in Victoria and she preceded him in death on August 16, 2006. Survivors include four daughters, Sally (Joe) Cuevas, Linda Schoonover and Penny Carlson, all of Williamsfield and Betty (Rod) Lentz of Boliver, OH, seven grandchildren, Angie Powell, Shannon Cuevas, Shilo and Lisa Schoonover, Meredith Rey, William Lentz and Tyler Carlson and 10 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He graduated in 1949, part of the first class of the ROVA School District. He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He had farmed and had worked at Admiral in Galesburg. He was a "junker" and jack-of-all-trades. He was a member of the Williamsfield United Methodist Church and the Williamsfield American Legion. He was a Chicago White Sox and Bear Fan. He enjoyed visiting people and was always "going" and on the move.
