Helen D. (Johnson) Place, 94, died February 25, 2013.
Her husband of 50 years, Elmer M. Place, died in 1992.
Helen was born April 17, 1918 in East Greenwich, RI, daughter of the late Maude (Sayles) and Menus Johnson.
She grew up in Providence, graduating from Hope High School before she began to work for Cherry & Webb.
She was a devoted member of the Fourth Baptist Church in Providence.
After she married Elmer Place she stayed at home for several years to be with her children and then worked at Commercial Bank & Trust for nearly 20 years.
She is survived by four children, 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her 2 sisters and 1 brother predeceased her.
