When Sarah Ann Sally Mowery was born in August 1829 in Pendleton county, West Virginia, her father, Leonard Mowery, was 46 and her mother, Susan Knicely, was 44. She married Thomas Nicholas Hoover and they had eight children together that I know of. She then married James Goodman and they had three children together between 1860 and 1872. She was living with her daughter Nancy Hoover Clountz in 1900 near Locust, Pottsboro, TX. The 1900 census said she had 14 children in all, but only 11 were living at that time. She died in between 1900 and 1910 in Pottsboro, Texas.
