The second of eight children born to James B and Margaret (Connier) Simpson of Ireland and late of Washington Co PA, William married Mary Ann Graham in 1804 in Washington Co PA.

Children with Mary:
1) John Simpson (1810-1895), m1: Miss Mary E; m2: Miss Nancy Ann (nees unkn).
2) Abraham Simpson (1812-1823)
3) James Simpson (1813-1839)
4) William Simpson Jr (1815-1897), m: Miss Nancy (nee unkn).
5) Elizabeth Jane Simpson (1817-1843)
6) Isaac A Simpson (1819-1889)
7) Mary Ann Simpson (1821-1823)
8) Josiah T Simpson (1823-1842)
9) Margaret Connier Simpson (1825-1853), m: Napoleon Bonaparte Campbell.
10) Sarah Aramintha Simpson (1827-1851)

William and wife Mary are buried with three of their children. These three children may not be any of the above.

William is my son's 4th paternal Gr-Grand Uncle through his younger brother Robert Simpson (1797-1875).
