Reportedly, the mortal remains of Garrett Dorlandt, Sr. (1707-1774) were exhumed and reinterred in Harlingen (Dutch) Reformed Church Cemetery, which graveyard also is located in Montgomery Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, near Belle Mead, only about 2 miles northeast from the former Dorlandt Family Cemetery.

These Dorlandt descendants carry on modern generations with either the Dorlandt Family Surname or variant surnames, such as: Dorland, Durland and Durling.
