EARLY DAYS:
Bert Sheppard was born September 22, 1864, in Camberwell(South London) England. By 1871, he was living with his family in Tonbridge, U.K.
In 1881, Bert worked as an assistant for his father, a local Grocer. His residence is recorded as being 39 Priory Rd., Tonbridge. The home still exists today.

JOURNEY TO A NEW LIFE:
With his Parent's and all of his sibling's except, brother, Robert Fred'k., Bert immigrated to the U.S.A. - (Ellis Island) New York, from Liverpool England, on March 31, 1888, aboard the SS Republic, built in Belfast. Ironically, the Captain of this ship at that time, Edward Smith, went on to captain the RMS Titanic on which he perished in the waters of the northern Atlantic Ocean where it sank after colliding with an iceberg in April 1912.

ALLISON PRINGLE:
Soon after arriving in Greene County, Bert married Ms. Pringle on April 7, 1892 in Springfield. Their children were Lillian & Ronald. Allison contracted a serious illness and died while they were young children.

SIGHTS ON TULSA:
In the late teen's/early twenty's, Bert came down into Tulsa for work in the "oil-boom" as a boiler maker, with Frankie and their two boy's, Ralph and Roy.

ROSEHILL METHODIST CHURCH:
Bert was a faithful member where he was said to have been often heard singing aloud in the choir from outside.

RETIREMENT & DEATH:
Bert retired as a machinist. He continued farming for some time on his farm located off of Z Hwy, north of Willard, Missouri. On the evening of September 3, 1936, at his home in Cass(Willard), Bert succumbed to myocarditis at 7 P.M.
