Patrick Kenny, native of Ireland, died at his home here Tuesday, aged 77. He came to Grafton in 1856 and entered the service of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad as a wood sawyer. In 1862 he enlisted in the Union Army as teamster, serving two years. In 1863 he re-entered the service of the Baltimore & Ohio as a trainman and was promoted to freight conductor, which position he filled until his retirement 13 years ago. Surviving are four son: Thomas, Dayton, Ohio, former mayor of Grafton and former member of the West Virginia Legislature; John, Keyser, W Va; Robert, Pittsburgh and First Lieutenant Raymond Kenny of the aviation corps, now home on furlough and four daughters: Mrs Agnes Roe, New York; Miss Elizabeth Kenny, a Red Cross nurse at Camp Sevier, S C; Miss Anne Kenny, Fairmont and Miss Regina Kenny, at home. The funeral will be held Thursday morning from St Augustine's Catholic Church.
