WILLIAMSBURG - Parry Giles Mooney, 89, died Wednesday, June 24, at her home in Williamsburg, VA.

She was the daughter of George Christopher Giles and Verlie Parry Story Giles.

She was born in Lynchburg, VA, and resided for many years in Plainfield and Westfield, NJ, before returning to Virginia in 1984.

She was a graduate of E.C. Glass high school and Randolph Macon Women's College, both in Lynchburg.

She taught Latin and English at The Hartridge School in Plainfield for 25 years.

She was the wife of Robert J.T. Mooney who died in 1999.

Her sister, John Lee Darst, also of Williamsburg, predeceased her in 2010.

Funeral services will be held at a later date in Peacham, Vermont.
