Gladys H. Burdine
Gladys H. Burdine, 63. of
Lorain, who had been ill since
May, died Thursday morning at
Lorain Community Hospital.
Mrs. Burdine, a native of
Smithville, W.Va., moved from
there to Lorain in 1947.
She was a member of the
Foursquare Gospel Church in
Amherst and employed as a
route delivery person for the
Lorain Journal.
During World War II, she
served as an Army medic.
Mrs. Burdine is survived by
her husband of 37 years, Lester
R.; a daughter, Mrs. Nila Chudzinski of Sheffield Lake; a
grandchild; brothers, Thurman
Cain of Lorain, Lee Cain of
Perry, Ga., and Perry Cain of
Mount Pleasant, Mich.; sisters,
Idress Cain of Smithville and
Mrs. Lois Alheit of Elyria.
Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. both Saturday and Sunday
at the Walter A. Frey Funeral
Home, Lorain, where funeral
services will be held at 1 p.m.
Monday.
The Revs. Myrtle and Holland
Eppler, staff ministers at the
Foursquare Gospel Church in
Amherst, will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven
Memory Gardens, Avon.
