Obituary from the Edwardsville Intelligencer, Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois, Monday, October 18, 1971, page 3:
  Arthur E. Livingston, 47, of Route 1, Edwardsville, a professor of mathematics at Southern Illinois University, died at 3:58 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital, Highland. He had been hospitalized for a week.
  He had lived at Corvallis, Ore., before moving here two years ago to accept the faculty post at SIU-E.
  He was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Imperial City, Calif. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur B. Livingston, now living in Fresno, Calif.
  He was married to Marilynn Faulkner on Sept. 17, 1966, at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His wife survives.
  He also leaves a son, Eugene Livingston of Edmonton; daughters Katherine Livingston, Travis Air Force Base, Calif., and Karen Livingston, Sheila Livingston and Nancy Livingston, all at home; brothers Arthur B. Livingston Jr. and Roy Livingston, both of California, and sisters Judy Livingston of Honolulu, Hawaii, Mrs. Mary Turner of Oregon, and Mrs. Barbara Peacock, Mrs. Mickey Pickard, Mrs. Helen Pliler, Mrs. Louise VanRite and Mrs. Carol Crawford, all of California.
  He served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
  Friends may call at the Weber Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
  The Rev. Robert J. Treat, an SIU-E campus minister, will officiate at services at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Irving Kessler, Alfred Beradino, Earl Lazerson, Kermit Clemans, Arthur Garder and Clarence Wilder.
