Luke Fundak, 78, of 846 Georgia Ave., Amherst died Saturday at 4:25 p.m. in Elyria Memorial Hospital after a four-day illness.

Mr. Fundak was born in Yugoslavia and after living in Lorain most of his life moved to St. Petersburg, Fla. 12 years ago. He returned to Amherst to live with a daughter, Mrs. John (Marge) Kordeleski a year ago.

Before retirement, Mr. Fundak was employed as a cable marker in the open hearth department of Lorain- Cuyahoga Works, U.S. Steel Corp. He was a member of St.
Stanislaus Church and United Steel Workers, Local 1104. His wife, Kate, died in 1954.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kordeleski and Mrs. Francis (Irene) Leonard of Lorain, two sons, John, of Norwalk, and Steve, of St. Petersburg, Fla., eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two sisters in Yugoslavia.

Friends will be received at the John R. Dovin Funeral Home, Lorain, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9'p.m.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church. The Rev. Leo Rygwalski will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
