Born and reared in Chester, she remained in the city until three years ago, when she moved to the home of her daughter, Shirley Berry of Media. For nearly 20 years, Mrs. Beck was employed at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, retiring from there in 1975.
She was a member of the former St. Robert's Catholic Church, Chester, for many years.
Widow of Joseph Beck, who died in 1954, she is survived by a son, William Beck of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Shirley B. Berry of Media; a sister, Anna Lennox of Collingdale; a sister-in-law who was like a sister, Kitty Murtaugh of Middletown; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, Media. Burial follows in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Marple.
