FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — Marie "Peachie" Davidson, 95, of Fredericksburg, VA, formerly of Matoaka, died Friday, September 20, 2013 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg. Born November 8, 1917 in Herndon, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Green and Molly Ramsey Green.

Mrs. Davidson was a member of Ashworth Memorial United Methodist Church in Matoaka. She was a beautician and homemaker. She moved from Matoaka in 2007.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Robert Milton Davidson, Sr. in 1998; one grandson, Robert Milton Davidson, III and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include one son, Robert Milton Davidson, Jr. and wife Dee of Fredericksburg, with whom she made her home for the past six years; one granddaughter, Shannon McLaughlin of Ayden, NC; three great-grandchildren, Samantha, Alysa and Cody, all of Ayden, NC and two sisters, Della Belcher of Princeton and June Goodall of Huntington.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. David Damewood officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may visit from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, September 22 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
