Gladys Lucille Jenkins, 96 of Paris, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2013.
A graveside service is set for 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. No formal visitation is scheduled.
She was born to Francis Marion Powers and Elizabeth Rucker Powers on 4 Dec 1916, her mother died on 13 Jan 1917. My mother was the oldest child at age 11 and with the other 3 younger children her and her father could not take care of the baby, Gladys, therefore was raised by Rufus and Anna Beville, however, Gladys remained close to her birth family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Jenkins; and parents, Rufus and Anna Beville.
She is survived by her nephew, Billy Troy Martin and his family; adopted granddaughter, Janice Arnold and husband, Jody and their children, Miranda, Shanna, Christopher, Shane and Jeremy; numerous special friends.
