MILLPORT, Ala. — Ginger Mae Kuhns Welch, 65, died Sept. 21, 2013, at Salem Nursing Home in Reform, Ala. Services are Thursday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Lammons and the Rev. Bill Hurt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Dowdle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Welch was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Neal and Geraldine Dunford Kuhns. Survivors include her husband, Charles Walter Welch of Millport; daughter, Amy Marie McManus of Farmington, Alaska; stepdaughter, Cheryl Hanslovin or Oregon; stepsons, Dan Welch of Oregon and Don Welch of Orlando, Fla.; sisters, Dixie May and Chris, both of Oregon and Kelly Sprano of Washington; brother, Victor Kuhns of Albany, Ore.; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers are Don Welch, Dane Welch, Steve Hutcherson, Matt Hutcherson, Jeremy McManus and Hunter McManus.
