WILLIAM FREDERICK DEMARCHI, 70, of Sheffield Village and formerly of Amherst Township passed away suddenly on September 21, 2013, following a long-term illness. He was born February 18, 1943, to Silvio and Luella (nee Dean) Demarchi in Martins Ferry, Ohio. He graduated from Flushing High School in Flushing, Ohio. After school he joined the Marines and bravely served our Country during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from Ford in Avon Lake after 36 years of hard work on the line. Mr. Demarchi had a strong Faith in God and was a born again Christian, he enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his loving family.

Mr. Demarchi is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Darlene (nee Van Nest); and daughters, Michelle Demarchi, and Lisa Guinn (Charles Jr.) both of Elyria; grandchildren Brittany Boyles, Alyssa Crooks, William and Jessica Ortiz, Autumn Demarchi, and Morgan and Riley Guinn. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul Demarchi.

Friends may call at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 163 Avon-Belden Road, Avon Lake from 6-9pm Wednesday. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday, September 26 at 11:00am. Pastor George Gribben of the Elyria Community Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
