Pat, Patsy, Trish, Patty, Mom, Grandma, Gma - All around enjoyer of life, ocean loving, river watching, sale shopping, dessert baking, smile sharing, always able to see humor in herself and share an embarrassing moment for the laughter in it, thankful for the simple beauty of daisies, canner of all things grown in dad's much appreciated garden, classical music loving, best snuggling grammar grandma ever, positive to the end and strong to the last breath…didn't let cancer beat her, died with dignity, humor and laughter. Wife to Francis (Frank) McCormick, daughter of William "Pete" Neely and Louella (Salmon) Neely, sister of Cecil Neely (Ginny Stodalack ), Patricia Johnston (Nathan "Johnny" Johnston), and Larry (Jean Pollack), mother to Maureen Borgen (Jeff Soper), Morna Helbach (Mark Helbach), Monica McCormick and Kathleen McCormick, grandmother to Michael Borgen (Kayla Rafko), Margo (Borgen) Smith (Jackson Smith), Mitchell Borgen (Kendall Tryziniski), Brandon McCormick-Guthu, Kelly Helbach, Frankie Helbach and Connor Helbach, great grandma to Taylon Mehne, Kaden and Brynn Borgen and William Smith. Patsy graduated from Soldiers Grove High School in 1957 and attended Vernon County Teachers College. On August 19th 1961, crossing rival lines, she married Seneca native, Francis McCormick. Moving often in the early years they lived in LaCrosse, Merrill, Stanley, Sheboygan, Amherst and Stevens Point before finally settling on the Mighty River in Ferryville. Patsy taught school, sold insurance and worked in retail while raising four daughters. Her love of adventure took her to the south of Texas on a regular basis, Europe, Ireland and China. Her eternal positive attitude, gentle grace, and belief that all things happen for a reason kept her and those around her at peace.
