Nancy Kay Kirsch was born June 14, 1952, at Clarinda, Iowa, to Dwight and Susan Nevada (Eberly) Pratt. Following a lengthy illness, Nancy entered into rest November 15, 2001 at her residence in Clarinda, Iowa. Services were held at the Eickemeyer Funeral Chapel in Clarinda, Iowa, with Pastor Scott Denham officiating. Burial was at Old Memory Cemetery in New Market, Iowa.
Nancy graduated from New Market High School. On July 8, 1972 she was married to Glen Kirsch. Nancy was a homemaker and mother raising nine children. She worked with the Omaha World Herald and Clarinda Herald Journal deliveries. She was Den Mother in the Cub Scouts, church youth group leader, and made quilts for the Cancer Society. She was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church in Shambaugh, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Nevada Pratt.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; children, Michael Kirsch and his wife, Tammy, Clarinda; Luke Kirsch and his finance, Melanie, Des Moines; Mitchell Kirsch, Atlantic, Ben Kirsch and wife, Megan, Villisca; Brian Kirsch, Blair, Ne; Bonnie Kirsch, Shenandoah; Kristin Kirsch, Clarinda; Tim Kirsch, Clarinda; Amber Kirsch, Clarinda; grandchildren Cayleen, Dustin, Zach, Jonah and Makayla; parents Dwight and Ruth Pratt, Clarinda; brother, Delbert Pratt, Clarinda; and sisters, Beverly Davison and husband, Kenneth, Clarinda, Sue Strough and husband, David, New Market; and Ethel Leek and husband, Dennis, Bolivar, Mo; father and mother-in-law, Harold and Verla Kirsch of Clarinda.
