CLIMAX - Martha Ann Nelson Willard, 88, of Climax passed away Monday, October 9, 2006.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 High Point Road, Greensboro with interment to follow at Guilford Memorial Park, Greensboro.

She was a member of the Guilford Chapter #141 of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years. She was active in supporting the Order of Rainbow for Girls, and the Greensboro chapter of the Order of DeMolay "MOM". She owned and operated Southeast Restaurant (Truck Stop) for over 40 years. She attended Tabernacle Methodist Church of Greensboro. She and her husband helped establish the
Southeast Volunteer Fire Department and its Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Elwood Nelson, Sr. and Vessie Catherine Cox Nelson; her husband, Jessie Franklin Willard; her brothers, Onis and Ernest Nelson; and her sisters, Carlene Case and Rebecca.

Her immediate survivors are her daughter, Sylvia Ann Willard Vaughn and her husband, Landon of Greensboro; her son, Franklin Wayne Willard of Greensboro; her brother, James Elwood Nelson, Jr. of Harrisburg; her sister, Violet N. Socks of Hagerstown, Maryland; grandchildren, Andy Vaughn, Cammie Johnson and her husband, Robert, Lynn Wyrick and her husband, Marty; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her special nieces and nephews.
