Judith L. Welch, age 64, of Footville, died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born in Webster City, IA on February 17, 1949, the daughter of Charles L. and Genevieve P. (Trask) Hoover. In 1969, she married Ralph E. Welch in Rockford, IL. Judy graduated from Evansville High School, later raising her family and began working at GMAD in 1986. She retired after 24 years working as a millwright in the maintenance department.
As a breast cancer survivor for many years, Judy put her talent to work, making numerous pieces of jewelry that she donated for many fundraisers. She also enjoyed her flower gardens, going out to lunch, dancing and her collection of angels. Her two granddaughters were her pride and joy. Judy looked forward to spending time with them, watching movies and sharing grandma and granddaughter stories. Judy was a very caring, giving, and generous person, who always had a smile for everyone she met.
