Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lutz was a native of Cleveland County, NC, born June 10, 1905 to the late Charles 'C.C.' and Mary Nixon Lattimore Whisnant.
She was a member of Kadesh United Methodist Church since 1931, and was an active member in her church and community until failing health restricted her activities.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Boyte and Jean Lutz of Shelby; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Bill Elmore of Charlotte; sister, Edna Philbeck of Aiken, SC; two granddaughters and their husband, Robin Elmore Hensley and Darren of Atlanta, GA, and Renee Lutz Maxwell and Ken of Garner, NC; grandson David Elmore of Charlotte; grandson and his wife, Jamey and Julie Lutz of West Palm Beach, FL; and seven great grandchildren, Christina Maxwell, Garland Hensley, Madeline Lutz, Benjamin Hensley, Cal Maxwell, Elaina Lutz, and Juliana Lutz.
Mrs. Lutz was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Luther Lutz, three brothers and four sisters.
