EVERETT SHIPPEE, 85, of Ellis Circle, Titusville, Fla., and formerly of Foster, a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry, died Friday at William W. Backus Hospital, Norwich, Conn.
He was the husband of the late Miriam G. (Page) Shippee.
Born in Foster, a son of the late William and Bernice (Hopkins) Shippee, he had lived in Titusville for the last 10 years.
An Army first sergeant in World War II, he served in the Pacific theater. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW.
He was an avid golfer and champion horseshoe pitcher.
He is survived by a son, two daughters, two sisters,13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was the father of the late Dennis R. Shippee and brother of the late Leon Shippee.
