Mrs. Arty was born in Amherst and lived in Lorain all her life.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed Bingo, her family, reading and popcorn.
Mrs. Arty is survived by her husband, John; sons Thomas and Donald, both of Lorain; a daughter, Marsia Arty of Lorain; three grandchildren; a sister, Helen Martino and Lorain.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Anna (nee Kozlowski) Sobocinski, and sisters Christina Daraby and Mary Huebner.
A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. John Catholic Church, 2143 Homewood Drive, Lorain. The Rev. Thomas V. Rath, retired pastor, will be the celebrant.
Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association Greater Cleveland, 3601 South Green Rd, Suite 100 Cleveland 44122.
