Mrs. Cowart was a loving, kind, and caring mother, wife and friend. She was the daughter of the late W.S. Gibson and Lona Gregory Gibson.
She was a graduate of Statesville High School and on June 16, 1962, she married Robert F. Cowart.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Cowart was employed with Clark Schwebel where she was a data entry clerk and she was a member of Stony Point Baptist Church.
She was the mother of Robert "Robbie" Cowart, Jr., one daughter, Kim Cowart, all of Stony Point along with two brothers, Stanley Gibson of Stony Point and Roger Gibson of Statesville. She is also survived by a special aunt, Nancy Stegall of Indian Trail, two uncles, Bobby and Billy Gregory and several nieces and nephews.
