Grover Hill

Grover Hill, 91, of Paris died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center.

His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Lynn King will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.

Named as pallbearers are Benjamin Akers, Russell Hill, Mike, Ricky, Eddie and Jeff Miles, Jeremy Alexander and Jereamy Smith.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Bell, Randall Foster, Herbie Moon and Gordon Owen.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and after noon Wednesday.

Born April 17, 1922, in Paris, he was a son of the late Herbert B. and Lillie Mae Bruce Hill.

His wife, Lois Bradley Hill, preceded him in death. They were married on June 18, 1955.

Hill counted auction sales, yard sales and vacuum cleaner repair as his hobbies. A family member said his dog was his friend and companion.

He leaves two daughters: Rhonda Hill Gaskins of Paris and Janet Hill Moore of Waverly; three sons: Randy (Julia) Hill of Paris, Rodney (Teresa) Hill of Fairfield, Ill., and Eddie Dale (Linda) Hill of New Johnsonville;

One sister: Katherine Davis of Paris; one brother: Ray (Ann) Hill of Paris; 17 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two special friends: Jerry Bell and Randal Foster, both of Paris.

He also was preceded in death by a brother: Elroy Hill; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
