Inscription
"Wer so wie Du, in Leiden drang,
hat Gott ergab vom Herz.
Den Duldenkranz im Tod erlang,
Der eilet Himmelwärts."
Whosoever, like you, endured suffering,
God has revealed from the heart.
The crown of endurance won in death,
He hurries heavenward.

"O ruhe sanft - der Pilgerreise müde
Dein Sterben war der Weg zur Seligkeit,
Dein lebens Freund der reine Seelenfriede
Nahm lächelnd Dich zur frohen Ewigkeit."
O rest well - Weary from this pilgrimage
Your death was the path to salvation.
Your lifelong friend, pure peace of mind,
Took you smiling to joyous eternity.
