He was a tavern keeper and lived at first in Greenwich/Franklin Twp., Gloucester Co., where he was keeping the White Horse tavern in 1835-36. He moved to Southwark, Philadelphia Co., PA, by 1840 and was keeping a tavern at S.E. Vernon & Cedar that year. On 3 Sep. 1841, he and his wife sold a 1/8 share of the Harmony Glassworks in Glassboro, NJ. He died a month later. His widow was granted administration of his estate on 14 Oct. 1841.
