Dewey McHaffie, age 87, of Bruner, died Saturday, July 1, 1995, near his home. He was born July 10, 1907, at Bruner, where he continued to live and farm throughout his life. He was the son of Newt and Lula Roberts McHaffie.

Survivors include: his wife, Susie; four children, Dorthy E. Wilson, and her husband, Albert, Ozark, Shirley J. Ellison and her husband, Dean, Rogersville, Norman D. McHaffie, Sylmar, California, and Donald H McHaffie, and his wife, Sondra, Springfield; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; a brother, Marvin McHaffie, Fordland; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and two sisters, Iva McHaffie and Daisy Jackson.

Funeral services were Monday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Rev. Carl Thompson officiating. Burial was in Bruner Cemetery.
