ALFRED EDWARDS
ARCOLA — Alfred "Buck" Edwards, 86, of Arcola died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday (May 13, 1979) in Jarman Hospital, Tuscola.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Shrader Funeral Home, Arcola, where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Arcola Cemetery.
He was born April 1, 1893, in Clay County, a son of Joseph and Anne Reese Edwards. He married Flossie Belle Ramsey Oct. 13, 1925, in Lewisville. She survives.
Also surviving are eight sons, Leonard and Wayne, both of Mattoon, Merril, Aven, Dean and Glenn, all of Arcola, Harley of South Bend, Ind., and Robert of Cooks Mills; two daughters, Mrs. Clenna Stillwell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Shirley Moran of Tuscola; two brothers, Harold of Arcola and Dewey of Edgewood; one sister, Mrs. Violet Murry of Edgewood; 33 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Edwards was a retired farmer.
