FORESTVILLE

At 7:30 Tuesday evening, Feb. 22, at the home of the bride’s parents, Andrew Benson and wife, in the presence of a number of relatives and a few immediate friends, was solemnized the marriage of their daughter Emily E. to Amiel Retz of Lamont. Mrs. Rogers played a beautiful wedding march and after the ceremony which was performed by Rev. Rogers of Strawberry Point, all repaired to the dining room where a bounteous repast was served. The bride was beautifully gown in pale blue silk and carried carnations.

Both young people are very well and favorably known in this vicinity. The bride being the eldest daughter of Andrew Benson and wife, is a very popular young lady and is gifted with talents that make home happy. Mr. Retz is an energetic and progressive young farmer, held in high regard by a wide circle of friends, who, recognize in him the characteristics of the self-made man. Mr. and Mrs. Retz were the recipients of many beautiful and useful gifts. They will be home on the Ryan farm after March 1st. Congratulations are extended.
