Opal was born January 7,
1889, to Elias and Clara Minier in
Cherry County Nebraska. She
moved with her family to Sac County,
where she grew up. Opal
attended Highland Park College in
Des Moines, and then taught country
school in Iowa.
She married Edward Paeper on December 10,
1913. She then moved with her
husband to the Sac City area where
her husband was engaged in farming.
Her husband passed away
February 12, 1920. Opal was
employed as a cashier until her
retirement and enjoyed working
with the public. She also was very
active in her church and taught
Sunday School for many years.
Preceding her in death were
her parents and husband.
Survivors include her two
daughters—Ruth, Billings, Montana;
and Christel, Detroit, Michigan,
one sister — Eunice; and four
grandchildren.
