George Pappas, 77, entered into rest on Saturday, September 21, 2013.
Mr. Pappas was born on January 25, 1936, in Washington D.C. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled Veterans Association where he served as Chaplain and he was also a member of the Romeo Club (Retired Old Men Eating Out). Bonaire First Baptist Church was his church home. His parents, Theodore and Constance Pappas and grandchildren, Jackson Pappas and Mary R. Pappas, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be Monday, September 23, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Bonaire First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Andersonville National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300; Jacksonville, Florida 32256.
