Mary H. Luppino, 83, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center–East Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born in Fredericksburg, May 23, 1930, she was a daughter of the late William and Anna Tolan Harman.
She was a member of St. Joseph Parish, their choir and past vice president of St. Joseph's Women's Guild. She was currently a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.
She was also past Regent of the now disbanded Catholic Daughters Court Santa Maria having served in all the offices. She also served as district deputy and treasurer of the Diocesan Committee. At present, she was a member of St. Patrick's Seniors serving as a Chaplain.
Widow of Anthony, her one and only true love, she married Tony on April 19, 1953. They had three beautiful sons, Gerard, Mark and Joseph.They were married 52 1/2 years before God took Tony on Oct. 2, 2005.
She was also predeceased by a son, Joseph, at birth; two sisters, Rosemarie Shappell and Dolores Huber; and a brother, Edward Harman.
Surviving are her sons, Gerard and his wife, Georgette, Hawaii, and Mark, Pottsville; six grandchildren, Rachel, Tony and Michael Albert, Hawaii, Monica Luppino and her fiance, Steve Daynorowich, Orwigsburg, Ivy and her husband, Bryan Hodge, Mahanoy City, and Nick, Ocean City; and great-grandchildren, Kalekakoa Albert and Emma Daynorowich, Orwigsburg.
Also surviving are her brother. William Harman and his wife, Barbara, Middletown; a sister, Agnes Hirsch, Pottsville; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pottsville. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, Sixth and West Market streets, Pottsville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
