Mr. Fehring was one of the pioneers of this city in was highly thought of by his friends and neighbors. He was a kind and loving husband and father in sought in every way to make home pleasant. He was a warm friend to whom he was a friend. In his business life his walk was honest and upright.
We are called upon to part with one so dear to us, whose future seemed so bright. In the prime of his life he is cut down. No arrow could have pierced deeper in the mourning wife's and children's heart. To the loving wife and family there only remains the consolation of the victory to be at over death and the grave.
He leaves a wife and eight children to mourn his loss. Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon from the German Evangelical church, Rev. O.J. Gilbert performing the ceremonies. A very long procession followed the remains to their last resting place at the cemetery. Many floral emblems rested on the casket from loving friends.
Those who were in attendance at the funeral from abroad were Mr. and Mrs. William Fehring and children, of Manitowoc, and Mrs. J. C. Trader and son, of Fond du Lac.
