Kathryn Elizabeth Hood, 80 of Old Town, FL, passed away on September 17, 2013 at her home with her family by her side. Mrs. Hood was born in Newton, NJ on November 8, 1932 to Charles and Josephine Fillinger. Kathryn moved to this area in 2012 from Burton, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rock Sink Baptist Church. Mrs. Hood had several writings published in the Readers Digest, several newspapers and the Seagonville Times in Seagonville, TX. and she loved to paint as well. Her family and grandchildren gave her the most enjoyment in life. She is survived by her daughters, Vera Fillinger, Judy McGrew both of Old Town, sons Randy (Cathy) Woods of Indiana, Rex (Junelle) of Old Town, Roy (Sandy) Woods of Bell, FL. 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren.
