Mamie R. Jenkins, age 98, widow of Rev. J.L. Jenkins, of Clinton, died Monday September, 16, 2013 in the NHC of Clinton.
She was born in Cherokee Falls, SC and was the daughter of Gallie Lanier. She was a member of the Elizabeth Street Church of God.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by her sons John H Jenkins (Carolina) of Belton, and Butch (Lynn) Jenkins of Clinton; daughters Lyree Holmes, and Vivian (Joe) Koon, all of Clinton; sister, Mary Hoyle of Bessemer City, NC; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Harold Dean Jenkins, 2 daughters, Shirley J. Huggins and Phyllis J. Lanford; 2 brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 3:00 p.m. at the Clinton Church of God, Elizabeth St. followed by burial at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church Family Life Center.
