Wesley E. "Tic" Ward age 67 of 5477 Mountville Rd. passed away Friday, Sept. 20th at the Hospice of Laurens County.
He was born in Mountville and was a son of the late Marvin K. and Mittie Barfield Ward.
Mr. Ward retired as the Emergency Preparedness Director of Laurens County, during his 25 years of service he was instrumental in organizing the rural fire departments for Laurens County. He was a member of the Cross Hill Masonic Lodge and Mountville Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Mary Dawkins Ward; one daughter, Angie Beaty and husband, Chandler and grandchildren, Dylan and Brennan all of Laurens and one brother, Marvin B. Ward of Mountville.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Sept. 23rd at 3:00 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with entombment in the Pinelawm Memory Garden Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends Monday before the funeral from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
