She succumbed to bulbar ALS. Born November 23, 1939 in Oakland to Willemine and Edward Fortini, Joyce graduated U.C. Berkeley in 1961, married college sweetheart Dr. Robert S. Fritz and taught third grade before raising two sons.
Joyce is survived by sons Kevin and Kent, daughter-in-law Sarah, brother Glenn, and grandsons Ashton, Trevor, and Colton. She was preceded in death by husband Bob.
Visitation Wed, November 14, 2018 from 4-8pm at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park, Citrus Heights. Celebration of Life Thurs, November 15 at 11am at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church Sanctuary, Reception following in the Family Life Center.
