ASHTABULA — Catherine C. Woods, age 86, of East 21st St., Ashtabula, Ohio, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at the Ashtabula County Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Meadville, Pa., the daughter of Carl and Nellie (Hough) Choffel.
She is a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish; the Altar and Rosary Society of the church; and she was active at Gran Senora Apartments where she lived. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Surviving her are three sons, Roger (Debra) Woods of Iowa, Ronald (Carol) Woods of Bluffton, S.C., and Randy (Jodi Kozak) Woods of Ashtabula; five grandchildren, Brian, Rachel, Erica, Audrey and J.J.; two great-grandchildren, Gianna and Ellaiana; and two dear friends, Jane Chiarulli and Mary Frances Licate.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William L. Woods in 1988; and two sisters, Dorothy Stinnett and Louise Borkovec.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, Sept. 23rd, at the Ashtabula Home of FLEMING & BILLMAN FUNERAL DIRECTORS, INC., 526 W. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, with Deacon Richard Johnson, of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery.
Calling Hour will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of Service at the Funeral Home.
