Oscar P Kemp was the son of Oscar P. and Elva (French) Kemp. When he was a young man, the family moved to Watertown, South Dakota. In 1908, he married Margaret May Furey. In 1910, they moved to Los Angeles. He had one son, James Oscar Kemp. He opened Kemp Hardware in Los Angeles. He was buried at Holy Cross, however does not have a grave marker. His plot is immediately left of his wife's plot.
