She was a native of Piney Flats, TN, who had lived in West Virginia as a child prior to returning to Piney Flats. She was a daughter of the late James Foster and Gladys Mae Penix Wyatt.
Mrs. Clay was a member of Piney Flats First Baptist Church – a church she loved.
She was a Homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, John Edward Clay; two brothers, James Wyatt, Jr. and Harold Wyatt; and two sisters, Dorothea Wyatt and Carol Sue Kent.
Survivors include: son, Tony Edward Clay, and his wife, Lorie, Piney Flats; daughter, Judy Marlene Clay, Piney Flats; two granddaughters, Rebekah and Petra Clay, both of Piney Flats; great-granddaughter, Destiny Strange, Piney Flats; brother, Donald Wyatt, Piney Flats; and sister, Patricia Wyatt, Piney Flats.
