Dorothy B. Ragland age 87 of Gallatin passed away Monday August 8, 2011. Funeral service will be Thursday August 11th at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with Brother Doyle Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park with her nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Wednesday August 10th 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Thursday 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Dorothy was born in Jackson County, TN on July 9, 1924 daughter of the late Bud Chester Holland and Bee Bee Witcher Holland. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Bethel Ragland, one son Roy David Ragland and two brothers; N.D. and Kenneth Holland. She is survived by one son Charles Ragland of Gallatin, brother, Larry (Linda) Holland of Goodlettsville, two granddaughters, Amanda Bess Ragland of Billings OK and Leigh Ann (Chris) McCoy of Greenwood, AR and their mother the former Emily Garrott Ragland also of OK, brother-in-law W.A. (Shirley) Ragland of Hermitage, two sisters-in-law, Estelle (Del) Pirtle of Donelson and Polly Ragland of Cookeville and two great grandchildren Anna and David McCoy.
