Clarida Audet, daughter of Napoléon Audet and Valerie Lafrenière, was born on 12 Mar 1880 at Saint Samuel de Gayhurst, Frontenac, Québec, Canada. (The town is now known as Lac Drolet.) She was baptized on 14 Mar 1880 at Saint Sébastien, Frontenac, Québec. Clarida married Melite Arsenault, son of Cesime and Marie Arsenault, on 26 Nov 1898 at Westbrook, Maine. The family initially resided in Westbrook but, by 1910, had moved to Standish, Maine, next door to Clarida's parents. She was widowed in 1915, at which time her residence was 47 Walker in Westbrook. At the time of the 1920 census, she lived with all seven of her surviving children. In 1925, Clara was naturalized. By 1930, the family had moved to Brackett Street and the household included Arthur, Theodore, Rose Emma, and Eugene. Clara died soon after the census enumeration at the age of 50, and was interred at Saint Hyacinth on 2 Jul 1930.
