Kenneth R. Parrish, age 73, of Martinsville, passed away at his residence on Friday, September 6, 2013.
He was born on Tuesday, April 30, 1940 in Gosport, Indiana, to the late Ray and Catherine (Craddick) Parrish.
Kenny was a 1958 graduate of Gosport High School. After high school he served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired in the early 1990s from Detroit Diesel Allison where he had been a forklift operator.
He is survived by his children, Kenneth Parrish, Jr. and wife, Mindy, of Ellettsville, Robert Parrish and wife, Tenisha, of Gosport and Jaclyn Stogsdill and husband, Mike, of Dayton, Ohio; companion, Vicki Hyatt; siblings, Doris Dunigan of Spencer and Janet Winters of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Tyler Parrish, Levi Parrish, Ethan Parrish, Lindsey Wilson, Lindsey Rae Stogsdill, Michael Wayne Stogsdill, Zack Pursell, Chuck Pursell, Layne Hyatt, Nicolas Hyatt and Miley Hyatt; and great-grandchildren, Jaksen Wayne Stogsdill, Jayden Walker and Kylie Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, September 23, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Lopossa officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Burial with military honors will be at Friendship Park Cemetery in Paragon, Indiana.
