Roy Hack, Sr., age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (September 6, 2013) in Leitchfield.

He was born on February 5, 1928 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late George W. Hack and Effie Cook Hack.

He was a bridge construction laborer, who enjoyed fishing, antiquing, and trading. He was a member of New Harmony United Baptist Church.

He is survived by five sons, Roy Hack Jr. and Vicki of Fort Wayne, IN, James David Hack and Ruth of Roanoke IN, Terry Ray Hack and Kathy of Indianapolis, IN, George Hack and Judy, and Roger Dale Hack and Mary Anne all of Leitchfield; one daughter, Carolyn Susie McGrew and Darrell of Clarkson; two sisters, Hazel Stone, and Elaine Caudill; 28 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-three years, Maxine Riley Hack; one son, Dickie Lee Hack; two brothers, Sherman and Howard Hack; four sisters, Lorene Lyons, Steller Hack, Ruby Hack, and Lottie Probus; and one half-sister, Nettie Oller.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (September 9, 2013) at the New Harmony United Baptist Church. Bro. Gary Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Monday until 1:30 p.m., with services to follow at the church.
