Esther passed away at Ridgefield WA. on September 2, 2010. She was born near Addy, WA. on August 2, 1913 and was one of 13 children. She was a long time resident of Pend Oreille County where she attended the Tiger Grade School and graduated from Ione High School. She married Hollis Norton in 1931 and they ranched in the Skookum Creek area until 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband Hollis and one son Michael, her parents Frank and Laura (Burkhart) Swartz and twelve brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son, four granddaughters [survivors names omitted].She also leaves behind two great grandsons, two great granddaughters, one great great-granddaughter and two sisters in law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at Newport Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 10th with Father Joseph Sullivan officiating.
