Mary S. Harrington, age 86, of Ventura, died Monday at her daughter's home following a long illness.

Mrs. Harrington was born Sept. 30, 1909, in Omaha, Neb. She was a ten-year county resident, coming from Arcadia. Mrs. Harrington was a homemaker and nursery school owner and teacher for 15 years.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law Ann and Steve Theurer of Ventura; son and daughter-in-law Chuck and Sydnie Harrington of San Gabriel; grandson Randall Harrington of San Gabriel; granddaughter Courtney Rushing and her husband Joel of El Monte; great-grandson Jacob Rushing of El Monte; and special friends Pat and Linda Foster of Ventura.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jeremiah in 1981.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hills Rainbow Chapel in Whittier. Entombment will follow in Rose Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Livingston Memorial Hospice, 1996 Eastman Ave., Ventura, Ca. 93003. Arrangements are under the direction of Ted Mayr Funeral Home, Ventura.
