Joseph 'Junior' Rooks, 73, of Arnco, died Friday, March 1, 2002, at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.
Born April 13, 1928, Mr. Rooks was retired from the City of Newnan after 19 years of service.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at McKoon Funeral Home, with Dr. C.A. Jernigan and Reverend Ken Norton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Charles Cooper, Jerry Gill, Chad King, Jeff McLain, Randy McLain and Sean Rooks.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth McLain Rooks of Arnco; one daughter, Barbara and Gary King of Newnan; two grandchildren, Jennifer Hinesly and Chad King, both of Newnan; one great grandchild, Madison Ruth Hinesly of Newnan; and one nephew, Sean Rooks.
