Melissa Ann Sloan, 3-month-old daughter of Ethel P. and Randy M. Sloan of the 100 block of Coventry Road, died May 21, 1992, in a Norfolk hospital.

Melissa was born in Norfolk and was a member of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.

Other survivors include a sister, Theresa M. Sloan of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Domingo Pata of West Covina, Calif.; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Sloan of Virginia Beach; maternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. Llenos of the Philippines; and paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Sloan of Statesville, N.C.

A Mass of the Angels will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church by the Rev. Canice Welsh. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, and other times at 171 Coventry Road. Memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters.
