Sara L. Henry, 83, of Manheim, entered her eternal home on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Edna Conrad Achey. Sara was the loving wife of the late Reverend Charles W. Henry who died in November of 1996. For 35 years Sara worked in the data entry department for the former Raymark Industries. She was an active, faithful member of Ruhl's United Methodist Church, Manheim and served as a Sunday school teacher. Sara had an active visitation ministry and enjoyed sharing her time with many shut-ins in the Lancaster County area; she was also a great asset in her husband's ministry throughout the years. She had a life-long passion for her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are two step-sons: Barry L. Henry of Landisville, Spencer L. husband of Doris Henry of Brownstown, a step daughter, Elsieanna Henry of Shamong, NJ., eight grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, three brothers: Kenneth husband of Irene Achey, Ted husband of Ruth Achey all of Manheim, Russell husband of Barbara Achey of Florida, two sisters: Doris wife of Art Brubaker, and Josephine Shelly, and a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Achey all of Manheim. Preceding her in death is a step-son, Charles W. Henry, Jr., a grandson, Mickey Henry, a brother, Ray Achey, two sisters: Marion Shirk and Anna Geib, and two daughters-in-law, Shirley A. Henry and Gloria Henry.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sara's funeral service at the Ruhl's United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim, on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a viewing at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
